Monday Sept 17

Today we began from Portadown and went west across the country to Ballyshannon then turned north working our way along the coast and a tea break at a lovely hotel, thenĀ  to LetterKenny where we stayed at a 300 year old farmhouse ( see tomorrows photos).

    • Don, the signs are in metric in Northern Ireland but miles in the Republic. Problem is when driving some of the roads you pass back and forth and are never sure where you are. But 100 mph is rather impossible on most so that must be metric. More confusing is that in the Republic they use Euros and in Northern Ireland the British Pound. Stopping for a cup of tea results in having to ask where you are to get the correct currency.
